The Kuala Lipis Railway

The town of Kuala Lipis has a significant
historical trademark, which is its
railways and railway station...

while the railway station is built
since 1926...

The Photography Enthusiast

So Who's that photography enthusiast???
hah... well i found something today...

i was looking back at those old photo albums...
untill i came across with one of those albums,
and found this...

LOL... that was me...
holding my father's SLR (a yashica)...
and that was 16 years ago...
notice that beside me was my old wooden house...

guess i really like photography huh...
even since i was just four years old...lol~
or... i was just curious on that SLR???

whatever~
cuz now, i'm really a photography enthusiast...
I discover every single thing in photography
with full of passion everyday...=)

- Wesak Day Celebration 2010 - #1

On 15th of may 2010,
a wesak day celebration was organised by
the lipis buddhist association...
--
Definitely, i went there for photo shootings!!!
it was during the evening time
and the event ended up at night...
that's why, lightings is the most difficult part
for me this time...
anyway, its a good chance for me to practice
photography in a low light condition...
--
Did enjoy a lot, although it rained (quite heavily) during
almost the end of the parade... gosh~ ==''
luckily i've kept the d90 earlier and was just steps away
from a shelter that time...=)
what an adventure huh... LOL

The flower-decorated truck with a buddha statue, which leads the parade.

My little cousin, havin some prayer before the parade.

Flowers placed by the people onto the truck before the parade.

The dragon dance.

Another view of the dragon dance.

During the parade...

Two little girls following the parade. (my little sis is on the right, and the other is my little cousin)

People started to carry candles in their hands while it was getting darker.

Choosed to use the AF nikkor 50mm f/1.8D when it was totally dark at night. (wider aperture providing faster shutter speed)

- Sunset shots -

Captured lots of photos these days...
with different themes...
(since last post were just random shots. lol...)

well... photos that will be 'released' this time
will be the sunset shots...
days before i noticed a 'half-dead' old tree
in a housing area...
and that's such a nice evening...
i was lucky that i brought the d90 along with me...
with the sun laid behind the tree,
i manage to capture some of these shots~

& added some captions inside too~ =)

guess that's all for today...
more photos coming up next...
so, 'stay tuned'... LOL.

Tuesday, May 11

It's holiday and it's SHOOTING time~

yea, i knew it...
its been a while i didn't bother this blog...
anyway it's not meant to be abandoned for too long,
and so, i'm back on track again... LOL...
final exam just ended and i'm havin' my longest Uni holiday ever...
2 months... XD

and as it's a holiday,
i'm gona do what i want and what i like...
for sure, i'm gonna get really crazy with~
PHOTOGRAPHY this time...

after been long awaiting,
finally i'm with the dslr - nikon D90...
whoa, tht's why i'm so exited this time...
my dad bought it 3 days ago as
both of us are really into photography...
(even though we are still 'rookies' with the dslr, lol)

frankly, i just LIKE photography so much...
(since few years ago...)
untill some of them among my friends own their dslr,
i started to explore photography along with them...
but the dslr is not mine...
so the reality is that,
the chances of hands on for me can be few...
but then as a self-learner, i buy photography magazines
every month... (i recomend 'Digital Camera') =)
and its been half a year ago...
tht's why from now on, it's time for me to go PRACTICAL...

got the D90 3 days ago..
started shooting all around my house
with the nikkor 18-105mm VR kit lens...
gosh... i enjoyed so much... =)

guys, let's see what i've got~
